A home loan file rarely gets stuck at the bank. It gets stuck on the customer's third salary slip, the missing Form 16 or a property paper the builder has not sent yet. For a loan DSA or NBFC, most of the work between lead and disbursal is document chasing, and that is where a finance CRM earns its place.
The life of a loan case
Leads come from many places: website forms, Facebook ads, IndiaMART for business loans, builders and car dealers who refer buyers, and sub-DSAs who send cases in exchange for a payout. A tele-caller checks basic eligibility on the first call: income, existing EMIs, CIBIL concerns and the amount needed.
If the case looks workable, the document checklist starts. Salaried and self-employed customers need different papers, and a balance transfer needs the old loan statement too. Once complete, the file is logged in with one or more banks, and the team tracks queries, sanction, and finally disbursal. The DSA then claims payout from the bank and pays the sub-DSA their share.
| Stage | Who handles it | What gets recorded |
|---|---|---|
| Lead and eligibility | Tele-caller | Product, amount, income type, source |
| Documents | Processing executive | Each document received, pending or rejected |
| Bank login | Relationship manager | Bank, login date, file number, queries |
| Sanction and disbursal | Relationship manager | Sanctioned amount, ROI, disbursal date |
| Payout | Accounts | Payout due, received, sub-DSA share |
Two problems a finance CRM fixes in most DSA offices
The first is the half-complete file. A customer sends four of seven documents on WhatsApp and then goes quiet. Without a visible pending list and a reminder schedule, the file stays half-done until the customer takes a loan elsewhere.
The second is payout leakage. Banks pay late, sometimes short, and the DSA has no clean record of disbursals per bank per month to claim against. Sub-DSAs, meanwhile, call daily asking for their share.
Reports owners actually check
- Logins, sanctions and disbursals by bank and by product this month.
- Files with documents pending for more than a few days.
- Payout receivable from each bank and payable to each sub-DSA.
- For NBFCs and collections teams: EMI bounces and promised payment dates.
Before the demo
List your loan products and the banks or NBFCs you work with, with the documents each one asks for. Bring your current case tracker, usually an Excel sheet, and your payout rules. Decide who should see customer documents, since income proofs and bank statements need tight role-based access. We host on secure cloud with SSL and daily backups, and you can export your data any time.
If you also sell insurance with loans, look at our insurance CRM. Lead sources like IndiaMART and ad forms connect through CRM integration. When your list is ready, book a free demo.
